# The People's Bank of China has increased its gold holdings for the 10th consecutive month

On September 7th, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange's statistical data showed that as of the end of August 2025, China's foreign exchange reserves in August were USD 3,322.154 billion, up from USD 3,292.24 billion.

The People's Bank of China has increased its gold holdings for the 10th consecutive month. As of the end of August, gold reserves stood at 74.02 million ounces, compared to 73.96 million ounces at the end of July.
