# The ChiNext Index opened lower and fell 2.23%, while gold concept stocks surged against the trend

1.  Overall trend: The A-share market experienced fluctuations and adjustments throughout the day, with the ChiNext Index dropping over 3% in the afternoon. Most individual stocks fell, with more than 4,000 stocks in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing showing losses. Today's trading volume reached 2.15 trillion yuan. By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index fell by 0.51%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell by 1.23%, and the ChiNext Index fell by 2.23%.
    
2.  Industry sectors: Gold, real estate, banking, and retail sectors saw the largest gains, while consumer electronics, CRO, semiconductor chips, and CPO sectors experienced the largest declines.
