# Former Intel Co-CEO Leaves, Senior Management Restructuring Focuses on Core Business

Intel (INTC.O) announced on Monday that its former co-CEO Michelle Johnston Holthaus will leave the company. At the same time, Intel also announced a series of new personnel appointments aimed at strengthening its core product business.

The company stated that **Holthaus has resigned from her position as CEO of Intel's Product Division**, which previously included teams such as the **Client Computing Division, Data Center and Artificial Intelligence Division, and Network and Edge Computing Division** located in Santa Clara, California.

Intel indicated that Holthaus's resignation falls under "good reason." According to her employment agreement from February of this year, the resignation is a result of the company significantly reducing her position, responsibilities, salary, or annual bonus targets. The company stated that she will continue to serve in a non-executive role until March 1, 2025, to ensure a smooth transition.

Holthaus has worked at Intel for over 30 years, during which she held several senior leadership positions, including serving as interim co-CEO for several months before March of this year.

**New Round of Executive Appointments**

Intel also stated that **Executive Vice President and Chief Technology and Operations Officer of Intel's Foundry Business Naga Chandrasekaran will expand his responsibilities** to include Foundry Services. The company noted that this expansion aims to **create a more integrated structure covering technology development, manufacturing, and market promotion functions**.

At the same time, Intel announced the appointment of Kevork Kechichian to lead the company's data center business, covering cloud and enterprise sectors, including the Intel Xeon processor series.

**Kechichian previously served as Executive Vice President of Engineering at** **Arm (ARM.O)** **and held engineering positions at** **NXP Semiconductors (NXPI.O)** **and** **Qualcomm (QCOM.O)**.

Additionally, Intel appointed long-time employee Jim Johnson as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Client Computing Division, having previously served as the interim head of that position.

The company stated that Johnson will lead Intel's computing solutions business, driving growth in the global personal computer and edge computing ecosystem. He has held various engineering and leadership roles in Intel's Technology and Manufacturing Division as well as the Network and Communication Division.

**Intel also announced the establishment of a new central engineering team**, led by Srinivasan Iyengar.

The company stated that Iyengar will serve as Senior Vice President and Fellow, leading horizontal engineering functions and establishing a brand-new custom silicon business to serve various external customers. He joined Intel in June of this year, previously leading global silicon engineering at Cadence Design Systems
