# Lei Jun talks about chip manufacturing: at least an investment of 50 billion

On September 25th, Lei Jun stated in the "2025 Lei Jun Annual Speech" that chips are the only way for Xiaomi to achieve success, and that self-developed mobile phone SoCs must be persisted for at least ten years with an investment of at least 50 billion.
