# The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and five other departments: Accelerate the development of application scenarios such as intelligent manufacturing, smart transportation, NH INTELLIGENT, and smart healthcare

Six departments issued the "Work Plan for Steady Growth in the Machinery Industry." The plan proposes to promote the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of the industry. It aims to implement the overall layout planning for the construction of a digital China, accelerate the development of application scenarios such as intelligent manufacturing, smart transportation, smart agriculture, and smart healthcare, and expand the application demand for industrial mother machines, agricultural machinery, robots, rail transit equipment, medical equipment, construction machinery, and intelligent detection equipment. It will carry out actions for digital transformation and renovation, implement a number of "intelligent transformation, digital transformation, and network connection" renovation projects, and promote the updating of old equipment and the transformation of "dumb" equipment. A special action for digital empowerment of small and medium-sized enterprises will be implemented to support enterprises in carrying out low-investment, quick-effect digital "micro-transformations" such as equipment automation transformation based on their own needs. Continuous optimization of typical scenarios and element reference guidelines for intelligent manufacturing will be carried out, and a gradient cultivation action for intelligent factories will be initiated, building basic, advanced, excellent, and leading intelligent factories in stages. Support will be provided for enterprises to accelerate the integration and application of new generation information technologies such as artificial intelligence, carry out closed-loop optimization of the entire production and manufacturing process, the entire product lifecycle, and all links of the supply chain, and promote innovation in organizational models and enterprise forms
