# U.S. stock futures turn lower, spot gold approaches $4,170

Today in the Asian market, U.S. stock index futures fell, with S&P 500 index futures down 0.4% and Nasdaq 100 index futures down 0.5%.

Spot gold and silver continued to rise, with spot gold nearing $4,170, up 1.4% for the day. Spot silver rose over 1.8%
