# BMW Group Chairman Oliver Zipse: Firmly opposes the European Commission's imposition of anti-subsidy tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles

On October 16th, Jinshi Data reported that BMW Group Chairman Oliver Zipse stated during the 2025 meeting of the Advisory Committee of the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management that BMW Group has always been a bridge builder for cooperation between Europe and China, as well as Germany and China. "We firmly believe that open markets and clear rules can bring about shared prosperity more effectively than trade barriers."
