# U.S. media: NVIDIA and Taiwan Semiconductor launch the first Blackwell chip wafer manufactured in the United States

Jin10 Data reported on October 18th, according to AXIOS, that NVIDIA (NVDA.O) and Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM.N) will announce on Friday that they have completed their first wafer in the United States, which will be used to produce Blackwell chips for artificial intelligence in the future. This milestone represents one of the first achievements of the Trump administration's push to build AI technology in the U.S. and marks a key step in the competition for control over the future of artificial intelligence. Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, visited TSMC's semiconductor manufacturing facility in Phoenix on Friday to announce this progress.
