# Tesla Model Y topped the list of best-selling cars in Europe in September

According to Automotive News, the Tesla Model Y topped the list of best-selling cars in Europe in September. Although its sales decreased by 8.6% compared to the same period in 2024, totaling 25,938 units, this marks the first time in nine months that the model has returned to the top sales position.

This all-electric midsize SUV has experienced significant sales fluctuations this year: it was ranked second in sales in June, dropped to 60th place in July, and ranked 17th in August.

The Model Y is the fourth model this year to achieve the title of monthly sales champion. The other three models are: Dacia Sandero, which has topped the list four times; Renault Clio, which has won the monthly sales championship three times; and Volkswagen T-Roc, which took the top sales spot in August
