# Meta plans to issue $30 billion in bonds to raise funds for AI expansion

American tech giant Meta stated in a document on Thursday that the company will raise up to $30 billion in its largest bond issuance ever to fund its expensive expansion in the field of artificial intelligence.

Meta is making significant investments in artificial intelligence, which will bring enormous cost pressures. The company stated the day before that its capital expenditures for next year will be "significantly greater" than in 2025.

The company will raise funds by issuing six batches of bonds with maturities ranging from 5 to 40 years. Meta last entered the bond market in 2022, when it issued $10 billion in bonds.

The principal amount for each batch of these bonds ranges from $4 billion to $6.5 billion, with joint managers for this issuance including Morgan Stanley, Allen & Company, and Blaylock Van, among others
