# Generation X has become the highest consumer group globally

The consumption focus of Generation X reflects their responsibility towards others. In the next three years, Generation X's spending will primarily concentrate on elderly and family care, durable consumer goods such as education, musical instruments, and gaming consoles, as well as travel. Despite having a limited discretionary budget, they will continue to invest in goods categorized under "quality of life." This includes alcoholic beverages: Generation X accounts for 26% of global alcohol spending, covering wine, spirits, and beer. Additionally, they have significant expenditures in the beauty sector, with Generation X's spending in this category accounting for a quarter of the global total, and it is expected to contribute an additional $80 billion by 2030. Two-thirds of this growth will come from the Asia-Pacific region and North America. In the next decade, Generation X will continue to lead consumer spending in travel, healthcare, and education
