# Trump's newly appointed Federal Reserve Governor Milani: The Federal Reserve's monetary policy is too restrictive and far from neutral

Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman: The ADP non-farm employment report was better than expected, which is a welcome surprise.

Labor demand is still not as strong as we (the Trump administration) would like to see.

The data suggests that (FOMC's policy) interest rates could be slightly lower than the current level.

I believe that continuing to cut interest rates would still be reasonable.

Compared to other officials, I hope to achieve the target interest rate more quickly.

I think the Federal Reserve's monetary policy is too restrictive and is too far from neutral (interest rates).

Such a restrictive policy brings uncertainty risks.

Most of my forecasts (given in the quarterly economic projections SEP) are not significantly different from those of other officials. (Yahoo Finance)
