Chip designer Arm (ARM.US) announced that driven by strong demand for artificial intelligence, its revenue in the second fiscal quarter increased by 34%, reaching approximately $1.14 billion; adjusted earnings per share were 39 cents. The company is optimistic about its guidance for the current fiscal quarter, with the stock price rising about 4% in after-hours trading.

The company expects adjusted earnings per share in the third fiscal quarter to reach 41 cents, higher than the market expectation of 35 cents; revenue is expected to be $1.2 billion, also exceeding the expected $1.1 billion
