# According to reports, Xiaohongshu has obtained a mainland payment license through its subsidiary acquisition

According to a report from the Economic Information Agency on the 6th, the Qichacha APP shows that recently, the payment institution Dongfang Electronic Payment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Dongfang Payment") has been 100% controlled by Ningzhi Information Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Qichacha information indicates that Ningzhi Information is a subsidiary of Xiaohongshu Technology Co., Ltd., which means that Xiaohongshu has obtained a payment license. So far, Xiaohongshu has not responded to this.

Public information shows that Dongfang Payment is an internet payment institution jointly funded by Shanghai Information Investment Co., Ltd., Beijing Dongfang Port Technology Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Yima Logistics System Co., Ltd. in March 2008, with a registered capital of 121.3 million yuan. Dongfang Payment officially obtained one of the first "Payment Business Licenses" issued by the People's Bank of China on May 18, 2011, and successfully renewed it. The company's main business includes electronic payment services for national customs duties, free trade zone business, cross-border RMB and foreign exchange payment services, with main products including Speedy Remittance, Quick Settlement, Hangfu Tong, and Payment +.
