# Meta announced an investment of $600 billion in the U.S. over the next three years to promote artificial intelligence infrastructure

Facebook's parent company Meta (META.US) announced on Friday that it will invest $600 billion in U.S. infrastructure and jobs over the next three years, including artificial intelligence data centers.

Meta is increasing its investment in AI, aiming for "superintelligence," which theoretically means machines surpassing human capabilities. The company has committed to spending tens of billions of dollars to build multiple large AI data centers and plans to scale up capital expenditures to meet computational demands
