# CHK OIL signs a memorandum of understanding to explore potential cooperation in Kazakhstan's oil fields

CHK OIL (00632.HK) announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Aral Petroleum Capital LLP, under which both parties will explore potential cooperation opportunities related to the exploration and production of oil wells in the oil field located in Kazakhstan (target oil field). Currently, Aral Petroleum holds underground mining rights to produce crude oil in the eastern Zhaqabylak oil field in Aktobe Province, Kazakhstan, with approximately 9.75 years remaining. The target oil field covers an area of approximately 8.9 square kilometers
