# JPMorgan Chase launches deposit tokens for institutional clients, enabling round-the-clock trading and second-level payments

JPMorgan Chase has begun offering a deposit token called JPM Coin to institutional clients, as financial institutions continue to expand their presence in the digital asset space. This token represents dollar deposits at this global bank, and users can transfer funds through the public blockchain Base associated with Coinbase Global Inc., said Naveen Mallela, global co-head of JPMorgan's blockchain division Kinexys, in an interview. With this token, payment processing time is reduced from several days to just a few seconds, enabling 24/7 trading without being limited to business hours
