# Trump's 50-year mortgage plan has cooled, and the housing authority director has proposed a "transferable mortgage" scheme

After the 50-year mortgage plan proposed by U.S. President Trump has cooled, Bill Pulte, director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), stated that the government is "actively evaluating transferable mortgages." Pulte's post on social media did not disclose how the plan would operate. In theory, transferable mortgages would allow homeowners to transfer their current mortgage rates from one property to another
