# IBM: Plans to achieve quantum advantage by the end of 2026

On November 12th, IBM announced significant progress in achieving two major goals: to achieve quantum advantage by the end of 2026 and to reach fault-tolerant quantum computing by 2029. IBM launched its most advanced quantum processor to date, "Eagle," which is expected to be delivered to users by the end of 2025. Additionally, IBM also introduced the "Condor" experimental processor, demonstrating for the first time that IBM has all the key processor components necessary for developing fault-tolerant quantum computing
