# Tesla's in-car system plans to support Apple CarPlay functionality

On November 14th, Jinshi Data reported that foreign media sources stated that Tesla (TSLA.O), the electric vehicle manufacturer, is developing support features for Apple's in-car connectivity solution, Apple CarPlay, and has initiated preliminary testing, with plans to launch in the coming months. Tesla's electric vehicles use their self-developed infotainment software system, which integrates functions such as vehicle control, navigation, music, and web browsing, but have not supported Apple CarPlay until now. Apple CarPlay has become an industry-standard feature, allowing users to sync iPhone applications to the in-car infotainment screen. Tesla is now suddenly changing its strategy and plans to add support for Apple CarPlay, reportedly discussing a launch in the coming months, but the release schedule has not yet been finalized
