# The judge ruled that Apple and OpenAI must respond to Musk's antitrust lawsuit

On November 14th, Jinshi Data reported that a federal judge in Texas ruled that Apple (AAPL.O) and OpenAI must respond to a lawsuit filed by Musk's X company and xAI, which accuses the two companies of colluding to hinder competition in the emerging artificial intelligence market, seeking billions of dollars in damages. The lawsuit claims that Apple's decision to integrate OpenAI into the iPhone operating system stifled industry competition and innovation, and harmed consumer interests by depriving them of choices. OpenAI accused Musk of "waging a legal war." Apple's lawyers stated that the fundamental allegations in the lawsuit are inaccurate, arguing that Apple did not enter into an exclusive agreement with OpenAI and plans to collaborate with other AI companies in the future
