# Elon Musk publicly challenges "the Nvidias": I will take you all on by myself!

Last Sunday night, Musk suddenly "opened fire," **publicly challenging the giants of AI chips.**

He stated on Twitter that Tesla is not only a car manufacturer but also an AI chip company. For many years, Tesla has had a mysterious chip team that has designed and deployed millions of AI chips running in cars and data centers, allowing Tesla to lead others by several streets in the AI race.

Musk revealed that Tesla is currently using the AI4 chip in its cars, the AI5 is about to be produced, and the AI6 is already in the development queue. He also confidently stated that Tesla plans to launch a brand new chip every year, **and the final output will exceed the total of all other AI chips on the market.**

This move immediately stimulated the market, with Tesla's stock price soaring 7%, bringing its total market value close to $1.4 trillion.
