# SoftBank seeks AI layout and is examining potential acquisitions, including data center operator Switch

SoftBank Group has held discussions with the leadership of Switch and is conducting due diligence on the company. At the same time, SoftBank has also engaged in in-depth negotiations with one of Switch's main private equity backers, DigitalBridge Group Inc., regarding a potential acquisition. The owners of Switch have been seeking a valuation for their data center operator, including debt, with any transaction's valuation estimated at around $50 billion. They are also preparing for a potential IPO for Switch, which could take place as early as next year. (Bloomberg)
