# CIMC ENRIC's first mass-produced methanol project in mainland China has been put into operation

CIMC ENRIC (03899.HK) announced that its first large-scale production project for bio-methanol (green methanol) has been put into operation in Zhanjiang, Guangdong.

Located in Zhanjiang, Guangdong, this project is one of the earliest large-scale projects in China to achieve a full-chain closed loop of "biomass waste - green methanol - shipping fuel." Its commissioning marks CIMC ENRIC's strategic extension from hydrogen energy to advanced liquid fuels in the clean fuel sector, providing practical deep decarbonization solutions for the global shipping industry.

The first phase of the project has an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of green methanol, making it the first large-scale bio-methanol project in China. It features strong raw material adaptability, high operational flexibility, high process integration, and significant carbon reduction effects at both the source and process levels. The product's full lifecycle GHG emission reduction rate exceeds 85%. The entire chain, from raw materials to methanol and subsequent trading and storage, has obtained EU ISCC EU certification; it has also been verified by C14 quantitative testing from Beta Laboratories in the United States, directly confirming the carbon traceability integrity of the "raw material - product" chain
