# The tender for the Tseung Kwan O Area 132 Marine Viaduct and related works will close on February 27 next year

The Civil Engineering and Development Department today (19th) published a notice for the tender of the contract for the development of the marine viaduct and related works in Area 132, Tseung Kwan O (Contract No.: ED/2025/03), with a submission deadline of 12:00 noon on February 27, 2026.

The project mainly includes the design and construction of the following works, including the construction of a marine viaduct approximately 2.5 kilometers long to connect the newly created land opposite Area 132, Tseung Kwan O, and the Lam Tin Tunnel; the construction of a ground road approximately 600 meters long on the newly created land opposite Area 132, Tseung Kwan O, and a pedestrian path approximately 1.7 kilometers long; infrastructure works, including drainage systems, sewage systems (including a sewage pumping station), water facilities, utility facilities, lighting facilities, environmental beautification works, irrigation facilities, electromechanical facilities, and slope works; and environmental monitoring and mitigation measures for the above works.

The department stated that the project is expected to commence in mid-2026 and will take approximately 57 months to complete. The Civil Engineering and Development Department has commissioned AECOM Limited to oversee the project
