# Tesla finally brings Marine Blue to Canada—here’s which trims get it

Tesla has officially brought Marine Blue to Canada, marking the long-awaited arrival of the new paint colour for Canadian buyers. As of Thursday evening, Marine Blue is now available to order, although the rollout is limited for now, only on the Model Y Premium AWD and Model Y Performance.

On the Model Y Premium AWD, Marine Blue is offered as a $1,300 paint option, while on the Model Y Performance, the colour is included in the base price. That pricing structure reflects how Tesla differentiates its Performance trims as of late, where premium features and finishes are bundled rather than added à la carte.

Marine Blue is not yet an option on the Model Y Standard, which was also added to the Canadian configurator on Thursday evening.

According to information shared with _Drive Tesla_, customers with existing Model Y orders in Canada can only change their configuration to Marine Blue if they originally picked Deep Blue Metallic.

On that note, Marine Blue replaces Deep Blue Metallic as Tesla’s newer, more saturated blue finish. The colour appears darker and more refined in low light, while showing a vivid blue tone under sunlight. It first appeared on the Model Y in Europe in October 2025, and has since expanded most major markets around the world.

While Marine Blue is now available on the Model Y, the same cannot yet be said for the Model 3. Despite Marine Blue rolling out to the Model 3 elsewhere in the world, the colour remains unavailable in Canada. That is largely due to the Model 3’s supply chain. Canadian Model 3 vehicles are sourced from the United States, where tariffs continue to impact pricing and configuration decisions.

Until Tesla shifts Canadian Model 3 supply elsewhere, or the tariffs are dropped, the colour is unlikely to appear on the electric sedan north of the border.

The timing is also interesting, as earlier this week we reported that Tesla was rapidly expanding Marine Blue to new markets around the world, rolling the colour out across Asia-Pacific and beyond. At the time, Canada stood out as one of the notable holdouts. Now, just days later, the wait is officially over.
