# China Stocks Rebound on Rising Volume

The Shanghai Composite rose 0.9% to above 4,170, while the Shenzhen Component gained 1.7% to 14,400 on Wednesday, reversing losses from the prior session and moving back toward multi-year highs.

The rebound was supported by surging trading volumes across mainland exchanges at the start of the year, fueled by expectations of additional policy support and advances in artificial intelligence.

Global investment banks have also raised their outlook for Chinese equities, citing attractive valuations, supportive industry policies, and a strong earnings trajectory.

High-growth technology stocks led the gains, including Shanghai Stonehill (+8.5%), BlueFocus Intelligent (+6.8%), Guangzhou Haige (+10%), Easy Click Worldwide (+15%) and East Money Information (+2.8%).
