# Trend Research Reduces Leverage Following ETH Decline

On February 1, Trend Research took action after a drop in Ethereum (ETH) prices. According to BlockBeats On-chain Detection, the firm withdrew 109.1 million USDT from a centralized exchange (CEX) to repay loans on-chain. This move reduced their leveraged ETH purchase debt from $1.12 billion to $1.01 billion, lowering their leverage ratio from 2.4 times to 2.2 times. Currently, Trend Research holds a total of 651,500 ETH.
