# 911 call recording from a trapped Tesla driver: "It's on fire, please help me"

20-year-old driver Samuel Tremblett was trapped in a burning Tesla Model Y after a car accident, desperately pleading on a 911 call, "I can't get out, please help me," and "I'm going to die." A lawsuit filed on February 4 alleges that Tremblett was trapped inside the vehicle due to the electric doors of the Tesla being unable to open after the accident, leading to his death from thermal injuries and smoke inhalation. Tesla is facing multiple lawsuits related to deaths caused by being trapped in its doors. Regulatory agencies in China and Europe have taken measures to address issues with its electric door handle design, and a U.S. congressman has proposed legislation to mandate the installation of mechanical emergency release switches
