BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY) has entered Egypt's passenger vehicle market, expanding its footprint in North Africa.

The Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker held a brand launch event in Egypt on February 4, announcing its official entry into the country, according to an announcement on Monday.

Leveraging a partnership with Egypt's Mansour Group, BYD launched three models locally: the BYD Dolphin, BYD Song Plus EV, and BYD Song Plus DM-i.
