Based on experience from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s Project e-HKD+ – a pilot program to explore innovative use cases for new forms of digital money – the white paper named three key factors that can accelerate adoption: compliance readiness, functional capabilities and commercial viability. Benefits for financial institutions include a significant reduction of counterparty risk, lower operational costs and 24/7 liquidity. In addition, a survey of 500 retail investors conducted in May and June 2025 showed that market demand was present. Around 61 percent of respondents indicated they would double their allocations, while 97 percent expressed interest in the features enabled by tokenized funds and digital money. Key benefits cited as attractive include flexibility, instant settlement and 24/7 access. **Coordinated Action Required** The white paper noted that coordinated action would be required to fully capture value, underlining three critical priorities. First, accelerate technology adoption by scaling interoperable, programmable, and privacy-preserving blockchain infrastructure that meets institutional standards. Second, ensure regulatory readiness by continuing to harmonize frameworks to promote trust, transparency and cross-border consistency. Third, foster business-model innovation by developing new products, services and market structures. «We view 2026 as the definitive inflection point. The industry must now pivot from testing technical feasibility to building commercial scale,» commented **Yue Hong Zhang**, managing director and partner at Boston Consulting Group. «No single institution can modernize the financial system alone. We need banks, regulators, and technology providers to move in lockstep to turn these pilot successes into the new market standard.» ### 相關股票 - [HASHKEY HLDGS (03887.HK)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/03887.HK.md) ## 相關資訊與研究 - [Stablecoin licenses are "late": Hong Kong's digital finance compliance is accelerating.](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281365223.md) - [HTX DAO (HTX) - Quarterly Burn - 15 April 2026](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281511211.md) - [11:01 ETWND Ventures Recognized as Top Corporate VC at BuiltWorlds Venture West](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281546145.md) - [Trump Considers Replacing AG Pam Bondi Over Epstein Case Handling: Report](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281492021.md) - [13:11 ETEBSCOed Expands LER.me into a Free, Open-Access LER Talent Marketplace](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281405472.md)
