January saw the annual inflation rate drop from 2.7% to 2.4%, falling short of the projected 2.5% and marking the lowest figure since May 2025. Core inflation, excluding food and energy, also decreased from 2.7% to 2.5% year over year, hitting its lowest point since March 2021.
