This hub aims to support ride-share drivers and travelers with EVs, allowing for quick charging in about 30 minutes. The initiative aligns with the Port Authority's goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 and is part of broader efforts to promote zero-emission vehicles at their facilities." datetime: "2026-02-24T12:30:00.000Z" locales: - [zh-CN](https://longbridge.com/zh-CN/news/276734293.md) - [en](https://longbridge.com/en/news/276734293.md) - [zh-HK](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/276734293.md) --- > 支持的語言: [简体中文](https://longbridge.com/zh-CN/news/276734293.md) | [English](https://longbridge.com/en/news/276734293.md) # LaGuardia airport gains first EV fast-charging hub Located on Runway Drive off the Grand Central Parkway’s Exit 7, it’s the single largest charging hub in NYPA’s EVolve NY fast charger network, and brings the total number of units in the network up to 300. According to PlugShare, the station features 12 charging towers with 12 CCS plugs, featuring 350kW of power. The Port Authority states this can charge ‘compatible EVs in as little as 30 minutes’, with an eye towards benefiting ride-share drivers, taxis, and travellers with EVs. NYPA estimates it will serve around 100 drivers per day. Drivers can pay using card, mobile wallet, or the Electrify America app. The charging station was both installed and funded by NYPA in agreement with the Port Authority, which is increasingly pursuing net-zero emissions targets. Kathryn Garcia, Port Authority Executive Director, said: “As we work toward our industry-leading goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050, we’re electrifying everything from passenger vehicles to airside equipment, we’re expanding solar generation, and we’re working with partners to encourage use of zero-emission vehicles at our facilities through initiatives like NYC TLC’s Green Rides Initiative. It’s imperative that we take a comprehensive approach to the climate crisis so that all users of our facilities can be part of the solution.” The Green Rides Initiative here refers to new rules which require Uber and Lyft trips in New York City to utilise either ‘zero-emission’ or accessible vehicles by 2030′. James DiGiovanni, NYC TLC’s deputy commissioner for policy and community affairs, said: “Back in 2023, when we launched the Green Rides Initiative, we emphasized to providers how important it was for our licensees to be able to charge at the airports. The Port Authority and NYPA took quick action — both here and at JFK—and what we celebrate today is a result of that. Thanks to them, thousands of TLC EV drivers will be able to charge right here where they work.” Alongside the new charging infrastructure, the Port Authority is also aiming to deploy more EVs within airport operations at JFK, Newark, and LeGuardia. The agency reports that 1400 electric ground service vehicles and 775 related chargers are currently in use for baggage tractors, airplane tows, and other equipment. All three airports have also gained rooftop solar arrays, including the largest in New York state at JFK Airport. panynj.gov ### 相關股票 - [iShares S&P Global Clean Energy (ICLN.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/ICLN.US.md) - [Ark Innovation ETF (ARKK.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/ARKK.US.md) ## 相關資訊與研究 - [Trump Approval Rating Gets Hit Over Handling Of Energy: Voters Say Gas Prices Should Be A Priority](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281576348.md) - [5 reasons Trump's war on renewables is a costly mistake right now](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281405589.md) - [Osprey opens new Midlands ultra-rapid EV charging hub](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281512449.md) - [How to use public EV charging – and get the best price](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281510109.md) - [Rivian (RIVN) vs. Lucid (LCID): Which EV Stock Is a Better Buy after the Uber Deal?](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281626742.md)
