# After the announcement of better-than-expected earnings, NVIDIA's stock price only rose slightly

NVIDIA's stock price rose 1.3% in pre-market trading on Thursday, as concerns about the artificial intelligence infrastructure boom tempered enthusiasm for the company's better-than-expected earnings report.

According to data from the London Stock Exchange Group, its fourth-quarter revenue reached $68.13 billion, exceeding analysts' estimates of $66.21 billion. Total revenue grew by 73% compared to the figures NVIDIA reported a year ago, and the performance guidance also surpassed expectations.

Richard Claude, a portfolio manager at Janus Henderson Investors, told CNBC via email: "The focus of the debate has shifted from short-term performance to the sustainability of AI capital expenditures, with concerns about the scale of investment, monetization capabilities, and potential cash flow deterioration."
