On March 3, the National Radio and Television Administration released the results of the governance of "AI-modified" videos for February 2026. Currently, some key online audiovisual platforms have announced their handling situations for February: Douyin platform has cumulatively dealt with 4,195 violations related to "AI-modified" videos; Kuaishou platform has handled a total of 4,096 violations of "AI-modified" content; WeChat platform has cumulatively dealt with 3,956 violations of short video content; Weibo has intercepted and cleaned up more than 164 various types of violation videos; Bilibili has strictly intercepted and dealt with over 1,000 violations related to "AI-modified" issues; Xiaohongshu platform has cumulatively cleaned up and dealt with 679 violations of "AI-modified" video content and handled 13 violating accounts; Baidu platform has cumulatively inspected and cleaned up 841 violations related to "AI-modified" videos and banned 5 accounts. The National Radio and Television Administration stated that the governance work for "AI-modified" videos has now entered a normalized stage. The Administration will continue to supervise various online platforms to further deepen the implementation of their responsibilities, strengthen daily inspections, focus on cleaning up violations based on the Four Great Classical Novels, historical themes, revolutionary themes, and classic film and television works that have undergone "AI modification," and simultaneously clean up various types of cult animations, continuously creating a healthy online audiovisual ecological environment.
