# Barclays owed about $670 million from exposure to collapsed lender MFS, Bloomberg News reports

March 4 (Reuters) - Barclays (BARC.L) is owed about 500 million pounds ($669.55 million) from its exposure to collapsed mortgage-finance firm Market Financial Solutions (MFS), Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday, citing a person familiar with the matter.

-   The amount is lower than the 600 million pound exposure initially described by the judge overseeing the collapse of MFS, the report said.
-   Barclays did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
-   MFS was placed into administration following allegations of financial irregularities and mismanagement prompting concerns over banks and private credit funds’ exposure to the UK-based lender.
