# Less than a week after the outbreak of the Middle East conflict, the consumer industry, such as Abercrombie & Fitch and PRADA, is worried about business impact

The chain clothing store Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF.US) stated that as the conflict between Israel and Iran escalates, the company expects the conflict to exert slight pressure on sales, as it has procurement operations in the Middle East.

At the same time, Prada (01913.HK) CEO Andrea Guerra mentioned during the earnings conference call on Thursday that the future situation is uncertain, but hopes the conflict will be brief. Currently, the most challenging markets are Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait, where the company has stores.

Lingerie retailer Victoria's Secret (VSCO.US) stated that due to the conflict, some of its shipments are experiencing delays, and it needs to close several stores in the region. However, as of now, the related delays are not expected to have a significant impact on the business, and the company does not have procurement operations in the area
