Australian media reported that Johnny Li Siu-hang, a professor at CUHK’s business school, was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly dressing in the uniform of the Sydney institution to mingle with pupils and take photos of them. A CUHK spokeswoman said on Friday evening that the university was aware of the incident and attached great importance to it, stressing that it took the conduct of its faculty and staff seriously. “The university has suspended the duties of the faculty member concerned and will set up a committee to investigate the incident in accordance with relevant procedures,” she said. “Any breach of conduct will be handled seriously.” Australian media earlier reported that the 46-year-old professor had been mingling with students playing at a public park opposite their school, when a teacher spotted and “extracted” him from the crowd of high-school boys. Photos of Li show he was wearing the uniform of Sydney Grammar School, including long socks and a school bag. The professor was also reported to have visited the campuses of four of Sydney’s top high schools to take photos of at least 36 pupils. These included St Ignatius’ College Riverview, Sydney Boys High School, Trinity Grammar School and Sydney Grammar School. When officers searched Li’s hotel room in Sydney, they found uniforms from each of the schools he had visited. He reportedly told police that dressing as a pupil and taking photos was a hobby. He later pleaded guilty to stalking and trespassing charges and was sentenced to an 18-month conditional release order. He was reported to have flown back to Hong Kong on Friday. ## 相關資訊與研究 - [Australian Regulator Requires Mobile Operators to Publish Standardized Network Coverage Maps](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281121054.md) - [BlackRock Grows Australia Wealth Fund Mandate 74% in Two Years](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281292328.md) - [Australian Banks' Technology Systems Could Be Impacted By DXC Technology Staff Strike, AFR Reports](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/280944680.md) - [ROI-Iran war is both a boost and a threat to Australia's LNG: Russell](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/281299975.md) - [Hong Kong Baptist University to turn one of its schools private](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/280630114.md)
