# POP MART: Previously communicated with Piotech regarding infringement issues in two letters

DoNews reported on March 11 that recently, Beijing POP MART Cultural Creative Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "POP MART") filed a lawsuit against Shenzhen Piotech Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Piotech") and its affiliated companies Shenzhen Maker World Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Outline Technology Co., Ltd. on the grounds of copyright ownership and infringement disputes.

According to relevant media reports, prior to this lawsuit, Piotech had not received any communication requests from POP MART. However, a source close to POP MART revealed to the China Business Journal that POP MART's legal team had sent letters to Piotech regarding platform infringement issues in May and October 2025, before formally filing the lawsuit. As for whether there will be communication for settlement, please pay attention to subsequent developments.

It is understood that the case has been accepted by the Shanghai Pudong New Area Court, with the court date set for April 2, 2026
