# LIVE MARKETS-Europe's STOXX 600 falls, bank slump outweigh earnings winners

### EUROPE’S STOXX 600 FALLS, BANKS SLUMP OUTWEIGHS EARNINGS WINNERS

Europe’s STOXX 600 (.STOXX) is falling 0.7% on Thursday with sentiment remaining tetchy even as earnings broadly surprised to the upside.

Zooming out, oil prices extended gains after tankers were struck in Iraqi waters, and Brent crude (LCOC1) was last up 6.6% at $98 a barrel.

Banks are the worst off sector in Europe (.SX7P) trading down 2.3%, led by HSBC, down 5.2% after going ex-dividend. Aerospace and defence (.SXPARO) names are staging a 1.6% comeback.

At the top of the STOXX 600 is Swiss engine turbocharger maker Accelleron Industries (ACLN.S) , surging 14% after strong full-year results and a positive outlook for 2026.

Meanwhile On the Beach Group (OTB.L) shares fell nearly 10% after it suspended forecasts as the Iran war hits Mediterranean holiday demand.

Shares in (TCAPI.L) are topping the FTSE 100, up 5.7% after the inter-dealer broker reported higher profit, boosted by volatile markets. Zalando (ZALG.DE) is up 9.3% after results, and Italy’s Leonardo (LDOF.MI) is up after strong guidance.
