# International oil prices opened higher but turned to decline, with WTI dropping over 1% during the day, while U.S. stock futures rose

WTI crude oil futures fell by more than $1 to $97.63 per barrel, after previously rising over 3%. S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 index futures rose by 0.5%.
