# Nebius and Meta reach a $27 billion AI computing power collaboration

PingWest reported on March 17 that Dutch cloud infrastructure giant Nebius Group NV announced a strategic cooperation agreement with Meta Platforms Inc. worth a total of $27 billion.

According to the terms, Nebius will provide $12 billion worth of dedicated artificial intelligence computing power, which includes the world's first large-scale deployment of Nvidia Corp.'s Vera Rubin chips. In addition, Meta has committed to additional purchases over the next five years, bringing the total transaction size to $15 billion.

This cooperation solidifies Nebius's position as Europe's leading "new cloud" service provider. Since its listing in 2024, its stock price has soared over 400%, and it previously secured a $17 billion commitment from Microsoft Corp. and a $2 billion direct investment from Nvidia. Arkady Volozh, co-founder and CEO of Nebius, stated that this agreement will accelerate the growth and development of its core AI cloud business.

Currently, tech giants are competing to expand their investments in AI infrastructure, with Meta planning to spend up to $135 billion this year. Despite rumors of restructuring, Meta continues to secure critical computing power supplies through such long-term contracts. Nebius, with its high-density GPU clusters and full-stack management services, is gradually capturing a significant share of the global AI computing landscape, providing crucial support for the industry's scalable development.
