Geely Galaxy announced the naming on Friday, stating that the name was selected from more than 50,000 user proposals. The model previously launched a global naming campaign on March 10, generating high engagement in a short period. The process is viewed as the latest attempt by Chinese automakers to strengthen brand communities and deepen connections with users. It aims to deliver both traditional off-road capabilities and a smart electric driving experience, the company previously said. The new vehicle will be equipped with an AI-powered intelligent 4WD system, supporting automatic switching among front-wheel, rear-wheel, and four-wheel drive modes.
