# ElevenLabs launches music marketplace, allowing creators to sell AI-generated tracks

PingWest reported on March 20 that the artificial intelligence company ElevenLabs officially launched a music trading market, allowing users to publish and sell songs generated by the ElevenCreative model.

After creators upload their works, they can earn revenue through downloads, remixes, or licensing. The company stated that its voice market has already paid creators over $11 million, and this model will extend to the music field. Currently, nearly 14 million songs have been generated by this model, with well-known producer Patrick Jordan-Patrikios being one of the first users to join.

The market offers three levels of licensing for social media, paid marketing, and offline use, serving content creators, marketing teams, and game developers. However, AI-generated music is currently not protected by copyright law due to the lack of a traditional human author. ElevenLabs explicitly states that it does not guarantee the exclusivity of generated tracks, as different users may obtain similar results, and it prohibits the use of real artist names or existing lyrics as prompts. All legal risks are borne by the users, and buyers must carefully verify local usage rights regulations.
