The stock has fallen more than 4% this week. Recently, NVIDIA announced that it will supply over 1 million GPUs and related chips to Amazon Web Services (AWS) by 2027. The deal was announced at NVIDIA's annual GTC conference and involves multiple generations of GPU architectures, including Blackwell and Rubin, covering AWS's global cloud regions. The deal also includes NVIDIA's Spectrum networking chips and the newly launched Groq processors. Financial terms have not been disclosed. Ian Buck, NVIDIA's Vice President of Hyperscale and High-Performance Computing, stated that chip deployment will begin this year and continue until 2027. AWS will utilize these processor combinations to accelerate AI inference, which is the stage where trained AI models apply learned patterns to generate predictions or content. Buck noted that "inference is very challenging" and pointed out that it requires multiple chips to work together. NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang emphasized the revenue potential of this collaboration, noting that by 2027, the market size related to the demand for Blackwell and Rubin chips could reach $1 trillion. The two companies are also collaborating on Spectrum networking and other cloud infrastructure projects. Amazon declined to comment. The second stock, Tesla, closed down 3.24%, with a trading volume of $28.659 billion. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is deepening its investigation into Tesla's onboard computer system, which was originally designed to allow Tesla electric vehicles to drive autonomously in road traffic. The agency warned that the analysis of accident data has raised concerns: this technology may encounter issues in low visibility conditions. The upcoming technical analysis is the last stage before a potential recall process. Elon Musk has consistently insisted that Tesla cars rely solely on cameras as sensors for autonomous driving. In contrast, competitors and many experts have warned for years that relying solely on cameras is not reliable enough, as cameras may fail or misidentify in complex visual conditions. However, Musk remains steadfast in his approach. The third stock, Micron, closed down 4.81%, with a trading volume of $26.93 billion. Amid an extremely tight supply of memory chips, since the fourth quarter of last year, the three major memory chip manufacturers—Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron—have stopped signing long-term contracts with customers to maximize profits, instead opting for quarterly contracts or even shorter monthly contracts to reflect market prices in a timely manner. However, as memory chip prices have reached current highs, the likelihood of further increases is decreasing, while the risk of price declines is accumulating. To mitigate risks, Micron and Samsung have begun to resume signing and negotiating long-term contracts with customers. During Micron's Q2 fiscal year 2026 earnings call, Micron President and CEO Sanjay Mehrotra stated that Micron has signed its first five-year long-term cooperation agreement (SCA) with customers, which includes detailed multi-year commitments The 5th place VRT fell by 4.94%, with a transaction volume of $19.359 billion. The 7th place SanDisk fell by 8.08%, with a transaction volume of $16.843 billion. The stock has accumulated a rise of 7.27% this week. The 8th place Lumentum Holdings fell by 8.52%, with a transaction volume of $14.792 billion. Despite a sharp decline on Friday, the stock has still accumulated a rise of 13.47% this week. The 13th place Coherent fell by 7.96%, with a transaction volume of $11.552 billion. The 19th place ExxonMobil rose by 0.95%, with a transaction volume of $8.549 billion. The Greek National Hydrocarbons Management Authority stated on Thursday that a joint venture consisting of Energean, ExxonMobil, and Helleniq Energy has notified Greece that it will search for natural gas in a western offshore block, marking the country's first exploratory drilling in decades. In an agreement announced last year, the American oil giant ExxonMobil joined Energean and Greece's largest refiner Helleniq Energy to jointly explore natural gas in the Ionian Sea Block 2. The state-owned Greek Hydrocarbons and Energy Resources Management Company stated in a statement that after assessing the potential of the area, the joint venture has notified the authority of its plan to enter the second phase, which also includes the first offshore exploratory drilling in 40 years.
