An internal announcement revealed that the Dreamer team, including co-founder Hugo Barra, who previously worked at Meta, will join the Meta Superintelligence Labs, led by Chief AI Officer Wang. The new employees will work on the research and development of AI agents and related projects at Meta. Although the terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, a source familiar with the matter indicated that Dreamer's investors will receive returns above their investment amount. The source also added that Dreamer will maintain its independent legal entity status, and the agreement includes granting Meta a non-exclusive license to use Dreamer's technology. According to reports in 2024, Dreamer previously raised $56 million at a valuation of $500 million. David Singleton, co-founder of Dreamer, confirmed the deal in a LinkedIn post and thanked Dreamer’s investor Wang for the support during the company's founding process. Singleton also mentioned that he presented Dreamer's product to Mark Zuckerberg earlier this year. "We quickly realized that we share the same vision for the future: to empower billions of people to create software that improves their lives," Singleton wrote. AI agents, or autonomous robots capable of performing tasks on behalf of humans, have become a key development focus for Meta. The company is heavily investing in AI talent and infrastructure. Zuckerberg stated during Meta's earnings call in January that the improvements in AI agents are "quite significant," and the company's engineers are using them to assist with coding and other tasks. Wang also discussed AI agents in an interview in India earlier this year, stating that AI agents "provide a more powerful version of AI for everyone in the world, which is a great opportunity to achieve this goal." In a statement announcing the onboarding of new employees on Monday, Wang wrote, "Our confidence in agents is stronger than ever." Meta is "building truly personalized and always-on agents that can integrate across platforms and wearable devices." Last December, Meta agreed to spend over $2 billion to acquire the popular AI agent company Manus and plans to deploy it across various applications and services under Meta. Earlier this month, Meta also announced the acquisition of the AI agent social network Moltbook. Dreamer was founded by a group of seasoned tech industry professionals, including Singleton, who previously served as Chief Technology Officer at fintech company Stripe and Vice President of Engineering for Google Android products. Barra also served as Vice President of Product Management for Android at Google before joining Meta from Xiaomi, where he led the company's virtual reality division He left Meta in 2021. Dreamer's Chief Design Officer Nicholas Jitkoff was the Chief Designer of Google Chrome OS. According to Wang's post, the three of them will join Meta ### 相關股票 - [Meta Platforms (META.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/META.US.md) - [Roundhill META WeeklyPay ETF (METW.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/METW.US.md) - [Global X Cloud Computing ETF (CLOU.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/CLOU.US.md) - [GraniteShares 2x Long META Daily ETF (FBL.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/FBL.US.md) - [Direxion Daily Meta Bull 2x Shares (METU.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/METU.US.md) - [ISHRS S&P Glb It (IXN.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/IXN.US.md) - [SPDR S&P Software (XSW.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/XSW.US.md) - [iShares Expanded Tech Software Sector ETF (IGV.US)](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/quote/IGV.US.md) ## 相關資訊與研究 - [Meta Opens Manhattan Store As Capital Shifts From Metaverse To AI](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/279834632.md) - [Meta actually is keeping its VR metaverse running, for now](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/279825430.md) - [Meta is having trouble with rogue AI agents](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/279688226.md) - [Meta Expands Retail Presence with New York City Flagship Location](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/279610884.md) - [Meta to shutter Horizon Worlds metaverse on VR in favor of mobile](https://longbridge.com/zh-HK/news/279533715.md)
