# NVIDIA-supported startup plans to raise $2.5 billion to enhance artificial intelligence

NVIDIA's artificial intelligence ecosystem is further expanding, with the open-source startup Reflection currently negotiating a $2.5 billion financing, indicating that the race to build the next large language model is far from slowing down.

Founded in 2024 by former Google DeepMind researchers and headquartered in Brooklyn, the company is now valued at approximately $25 billion. It has quickly earned the label of "Western Deep Exploration," especially after a Chinese deep exploration company shook the market with its R1 model in early 2025. Reflection's collaboration with NVIDIA's Nemotron alliance also demonstrates its close relationship with the chip giant's ever-expanding AI landscape.

Notably, the speed of funding influx is remarkable. Just last year, Reflection raised $2 billion from NVIDIA, Sequoia Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Eric Schmidt, among others. Now, JP Morgan is expected to participate in the new round of financing. Meanwhile, the company is beginning to move from theory to practical applications, including developing a Korean language model for New World Group
