# "Foreign Exchange" US dollar strengthens, every 100 yen exchanges for HKD 4.88

As the Middle East war intensifies and hopes for a de-escalation gradually fade, investors seek safe havens, and the dollar rose on Friday. The U.S. Dollar Index recently increased by 0.3% to 100.193.

The dollar rose to 160.31 against the yen. Each 100 yen is quoted at 4.88 Hong Kong dollars.

The euro fell to 1.151 against the dollar.

The pound fell to 1.326 against the dollar.

The dollar rose to 0.799 against the Swiss franc.

The dollar rose to 1.389 against the Canadian dollar.

The Australian dollar fell to 0.687 against the dollar
