# The Bank of England granted 62,600 mortgage approvals in February, exceeding expectations

The Bank of England announced that in February, the central bank granted 62,600 mortgage approvals, higher than the market expectation of 60,000, with the previous value revised up to 60,200.

In February, the net increase in the balance of mortgage loans in the UK was £4.8 billion, higher than the market expectation of a net increase of £3.9 billion, with the previous value revised up to a net increase of £4.2 billion
