# Leofoo to reposition as integrated platform and launch travel agency

Leofoo Tourism Group (六福旅遊集團) yesterday said it plans to diversify its tourism business and reposition itself as an integrated platform combining tourism operations, asset development and international visitor sourcing.

A key step in the strategy would be the launch of the group’s own travel agency in June, which would allow it to directly manage tourist flows and design travel itineraries linking its properties.

The move would strengthen the company’s ability to capture inbound travel demand and enhance cross-property marketing, group chairman Lai Zhen-rong (賴振融) said.

“This year will be pivotal for the company as we seek to widen the gap with competitors by shifting from a passive recipient of tourists to an active tourism integrator that manages visitor inflows,” Lai told reporters.

The group plans to bolster connections among its hotels, eco-tourism destinations, theme parks, catering services and the upcoming travel agency, he said.

The integration is aimed at building a complete value chain spanning visitor acquisition, travel experiences and membership-based customer retention.

Leofoo plans to package tourism products linking several of its major properties, including Courtyard by Marriott Taipei Nangang (六福萬怡酒店), Leofoo Resort Guanshi (關西六福莊) and Leofoo Village Theme Park (六福村).

The itineraries are also expected to incorporate forest resorts such as Cilan Forest Recreation Area (棲蘭) and Mingchi National Forest Recreation Area (明池) where new lodging facilities are likely to open in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the group is pushing forward with asset development. A commercial building in Taipei’s Songjiang-Nanjing Business District is scheduled to begin tenant recruitment in the third quarter, Lai said.

The project aims to combine premium office space with hospitality-style services to create a competitive business environment, he said.

Leofoo is also targeting the high-end membership market. The company plans to dedicate an entire floor of the building to a private club designed for business networking and social interaction.

Through exclusive membership privileges, the club would cater to affluent clients seeking a venue that provides business networking and social functions while offering privacy and tailored services, Lai said.

In addition, the company is preparing to launch a digital membership ecosystem linking its hotels, theme parks and premium travel services through a one-stop mobile platform.

The system would allow members to manage travel planning, bookings, dining and entertainment experiences in a single interface, while improving long-term customer engagement, Lai said.
